CncGcoder® History

Rick Ragnini, the developer of the CncGcoder®, began as an employee of IBM and worked on the development of the IBM PC.  Rick joined RBR Associates, Inc. in 1989.

After unsuccessfully trying to help a customer find an easy DNC system, Rick felt there was a need for a machine tool operator-oriented system.  Because the customer had difficulty working the PC-based systems, he wanted to develop a unit where no special computer skills were necessary.  By integrating his machine tool and computer skills, these initial ideas were developed into the CncGcoder®.  In 2001, the first CncGcoders® were created and shipped.  Today, thousands of units in use are used in production daily.  In 2017 Rick joined Components Express, Inc.  CEI was incorporated in 1992

specializing in datacom and telecom cable assemblies.  In 1998, the company began producing telecom devices.  By 2001, CEI began building specialty cables for the machine vision market place. Today, our high quality in house manufacturing capabilities and cost – effective international manufacturing operations allow us to offer

both simple cable assemblies and complex devices used in the machine vision data path.  Dedication to service has been rewarding to CEI and

our customers. Today, CEI uses up to 80,000 square

feet of flexible manufacturing space and up to 200

employees worldwide. Our services include engineering, R&D, manufacturing, finished goods warehousing and global distribution.
